Emily Ratajkowski Says She Was Recognized in Public as 'the Girl from TikTok Who Got the Bad Haircut'

Emily Ratajkowski is still struggling with her "bad haircut."

The model revealed the choppy style in a video shared to TikTok on March 25, and since the clip has gone viral, she's getting a new kind of recognition.

In a new video posted on Monday, March 31, Ratajkowski, 33, shares, "I was just at Whole Foods and this girl came up to me and had her phone out and was like, 'I know I've seen you from somewhere else, my bad, but aren't you the girl from TikTok who got the bad haircut?"

She continues, "Clearly we've reached a wide audience and now I have a new set of people in the world who just are like. 'You're that girl who got the bad haircut.' So, iconic."

The mom of one also explained her look in the clip. "This is how we're moving through the city, by the way, We're doing Japanese clips and a little prayer."

In addition to the hair clips, Ratajkowski wears a bright orange top and oversize sunglasses.

On Friday, March 28, Ratajkowski took to TikTok to give an update on what she called "the worst haircut of my life."

"For those who are not familiar, we have bangs starting starting from the back of my head so it's basically like a mullet," she began the video, in which the model appears to be in a bathroom.

As she blow-dries and curls her hair in an attempt to hide the choppy layers, she recalls, "I realized it was a bad haircut when my friends were low-key concerned that I was stepping outside and wasn't more upset. They kept being like, 'You're handling it really well, are you okay?' They were concerned for my mental health. I didn't realize how bad it was."

She also added of her hairstylist, whom she hasn't named, "I just let him go for it, like I put a lot of trust in this person."

In her March 25 TikTok video revealing the cut, Ratajkowski said, "You thought I was going to be fun? I have bangs on the back of my head."

"Is it giving member of The Dare or is it giving [singer] Karen O? The very nice man who did this to me, I think he was going [for a] British shag, but the main thing is it's not me," Ratajkowski explained of the bangs mishap, even though she noted that the stylist referenced one of her past hairstyles.

The model's celebrity friends were equally shocked at the haircut. In the comment section, Julia Fox said she was "so mad" on the Ratajkowski's behalf while Tinx asked, "why do [the bangs] start so far back?"
