Allen Iverson posts tribute to Kobe Bryant, reminds us of the good days
Allen Iverson was the latest NBA player to post a tribute to Kobe Bryant, posting a picture of the two together shortly before the Lakers lost to the 76ers.
"Congratulations on a great career from one of your biggest fans," Iverson wrote, on a picture where Bryant's hair is bigger and Iverson is still in the game. "You've always been a top competitor with a big heart. Much love, AI."
Iverson was picked first overall in the 1996 NBA Draft when Bryant, a high school phenom, was drafted 13th by the Charlotte Hornets. When Iverson and Bryant last faced off in 2010, Bryant scored 24 points on 45% shooting (though he did go 0-for-4 from the 3) in nearly 40 minutes. By comparison, on Tuesday night in Philadelphia Bryant went 4-for-17 from the 3, 7-of-26 from the floor and had 3 turnovers in the Lakers' loss.
